1. Meditate or do yoga-
One of the primary things we did was head to a yoga class. It took our focus away from our thoughts and brought our attention to our breath. Yoga is also very relaxing, which support ease our mind. Yoga helped us stay present to our experience so instead of jumping to what could happen, it brought us back to the now—the only moment, the most important moment. Meditation also help you to keep your life happy and healthy.

2. Smile-
We didn’t do much of this during the weekend, so we had to bring yourself in front of a mirror or force yourself to smile. It does ease alter your mood and relieve stress. We also felt lighter because it takes fewer muscles to smile than to glare.

3. Surround yourself with positive people-
We called a friend who we knew could give me constructive yet loving feedback. When you’re stuck in a negative spiral, talk to people who can put things into perspective and won’t feed your negative thinking.

4. Change the tone of your thoughts from negative to positive-
For example, instead of thinking, “We are going to have a hard time adjusting to our living situation,” think, “We will face some challenges in our living situation, but we will come up with solutions that we will both be happy with.”

5. Don’t play the victim. You build your life—take responsibility-
The way we were thinking and acting, you would think we were stuck. Even if our living situation becomes unbearable, there is always a way out. We will always have the choice to make change happen if need be.

6. Help someone-
Take the focus apart from you and do something nice for another person. We decided to make a tray of food and donate it to the Salvation Army. It took our mind off of things, and we felt better for support someone else.

7. Remember that no one is ideal and let yourself move forward-
Dwelling on your mistakes is simple. We felt terrible that we acted this process and that we wasted our weekend. The only thing we can do now is to learn from our mistakes and move ahead. We surely don’t require to have a weekend like that again.

8. Sing-
We don’t remember lyrics so well, and it’s probably the reason that we don’t enjoy singing, although every time we do sing we eternally feel better. Don’t forget that while you’re feeling stressed, overburdened, or upset, simple breathing exercises can up your happiness outcome dramatically. If you do some deep breathing throughout the day, you can calm yourself down and not let stress become to you or make you sick.

5. Get some sunlight-
A lot of people work in dark spaces. That’s very harmful and unloving. Try to work in a place wherever you have entrance to natural light. If that’s not possible, invest in full-spectrum light bulbs. Either way, make certain to get outside for a walk as often as you can.
